Description:
Patented is a white, biaxially oriented polyester film with a base layer comprising a thermoplastic polyester and pigment and/or filler consisting essentially of titanium dioxide. The R value of the film is smaller than 43 daN/mm2, the emax ratio of the film is smaller than 2.5 and at least one of the two surfaces of the film has a crosslinked continuous coating comprising resin consisting essentially of an acrylate copolymer. The acrylate copolymer consists essentially of acrylic monomer residue and methacrylic monomer residue. A copolymerized self-condensing comonomer residue forms intermolecular crosslinks and antiblocking agents are absent from the coating. The coated side(s) of the film exhibits a sliding coefficient of friction of less than 0.45.
