A pant-like disposable garment for absorbing human discharge was patented. The garment includes: a front panel, a back panel and an absorbent assembly with a liquid pervious bodyside liner, a liquid-impervious outer cover and an absorbent positioned between the two. The absorbent assembly further includes a pair of end edges. The absorbent assembly is secured to the front panel approximate one of the pair of end edges and is secured to the back panel approximate another one of a pair of end edges. The front and back panels are joined together by a pair of seams to form a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.
A pair of perforation lines is formed in the front panel with each being aligned non-parallel to one of the seams. Each of the pair of perforation lines extends from the waist opening to one of the respective leg openings. A pair of attachment members each has a first region and a second region. Each of the first regions is secured to one side of each of the perforation lines. Each of the second regions extends forward over a portion of the respective perforation line and is removeably attached to the front panel. The pair of perforation lines and the pair of attachment members function to allow the waist opening to be opened and closed at least once.
