Transparent, single- or multilayered, oriented polypropylene film has been issued a patent. The film comprises at least one layer with a layered dry-ground silicate without a coating of metal oxides, which has an irregular surface structure. The amount of layered silicate is between 0.01% to 4% by weight, based on the total weight of the film. The film is at least 85% by weight polypropylene. The film is laser markable.
