A urinary incontinence device has been patented. The device includes a resilient member with a generally trapezoidal shape and a non-absorbent core structure with a first end portion and a second end portion. The core structure is folded upon itself so that the first and second end portions are aligned substantially parallel to one another. The core structure contains at least two folds therebetween to form a generally M-shaped profile. At least two folds form a first fold adjacent the first end portion and a second fold adjacent the second end portion. The resilient member is in contact with the core structure and is positioned between the first and second fold.
