Tampon Applicator Arrangement

Patented is a tampon and applicator arrangement comprising a tampon, an applicator unit and a film cap. The tampon has a withdrawal end opposed to an insertion end and the insertion end has a top portion. The applicator unit is capable of receiving the tampon and has a bottom side opposed to a top side. The film cap is attached to at least a portion of the applicator unit. The film cap is uniformly shaped and covers at least a portion of the top portion of the tampon. The film cap has areas of variable thickness. The variation in thickness is at least 20% from a first area to a second area. The film cap has a top portion and a collar portion that is thinner than the top portion.
