Thermocalendered Nonwoven Elastic Laminate

Patented is an elastic nonwoven laminate fabric. The nonwoven includes a first and second nonwoven fabric web comprised of thermoplastic polymers. The web has a CD elongation of 120% and a basis weight of between about 10-100 gpsm. The article also includes an elastic film made of a vinylidene isoprene polymer. The film has a thickness of 0.5 to 3.5 mils. The elastic film is attached to the first and second nonwoven webs. The film and the web are in relaxed, unelongated states. The elastic nonwoven laminate fabric has a CD elongation of at least 120% with an elastic recovery of at least 85% after three cycles of 100% elongation. The elastic film is juxtaposed between the first and second nonwoven web in a laminate construction. The laminate construction has a discontinuous bond pattern of no greater than 15% land area.
