A patent has been issued for a polyester fiber tow comprised of a number of crimped polyester fibers with uniform primary and secondary crimps. Each uniform secondary crimp includes more than one of the substantially uniform primary crimps with a tensile factor possessed by said crimped polyester fibers about the same as the tensile factor possessed by an otherwise identical uncrimped polyester fiber. and wherein the average coefficient of primary crimp non-uniformity (Kn) possessed by said polyester fiber tow is less than about 10.8 percent.
