Patented is an absorbent article consisting of a silhouette with a first and a second portion. The second portion is in opposite relation to the first portion and a pair of opposed longitudinally extending sides connect the first and second portions. The distance between the pair of longitudinally extending sides decreases from the first to the second portion. The article also features a layered portion with a transparent cover layer and a transparent backsheet layer.
