Sanitary Napkin

October 15, 2002

A sanitary napkin has been patented. The napkin comprises a substantially planar and elongated main body with two longitudinal side edges. The main body features a garment faceable outer layer of a liquid-impermeable material and a body faceable cover layer with liquid-permeable material surrounding an absorbent core. The napkin also contains a protuberant flap portion that projects outwards from each longitudinal side edge of the sanitary napkin’s main body. Each flap is transparent and/or translucent and formed from a separate strip of material that is attached to the main body.
