Description:
Patented is an absorbent article featuring a body comprising a pH-controlling substance. The pH-controlling substance is in the form of a partially neutralized superabsorbent material that has a degree of neutralization less than 45% and a fluffed cellulose pulp with a pH below seven. The pH-controlling substance is located in the absorbent body so when the absorbent article comes in contact with the skin after wetting, the pH inside the absorbent article ranges from 3.5-4.9.
