A.Celli Nonwovens is installing two lines featuring its printing technology—one in North America and one in Europe. Both lines feature quick change cliché technology, enabling fast change of patterns to be printed onto nonwovens materials.
The scope of the project destined for a roll goods producer in the North American market will feature the revolutionary UV printing technology. Start-up is expected for the fourth quarter of 2012. Meanwhile, the system supplied to a European supplier consists of the more traditional technology using water-based inks; start-up is anticipated during the third quarter of 2012.
A.Celli Nonwovens’ printing technology is specially designed to be integrated with the customer’s existing line. This enables the roll goods producer to offer value-added fabrics with added aesthetic benefits that converters are now looking for to empower their brands with designs and images for product differentiation without having to depend on external suppliers for their printing needs, according to executives. Samples produced on A. Celli Nonwovens pilot line in Italy are currently being sent to Asia, Europe and South America.
Since its launch in 2010 at INDEX in Geneva, considerable interest has been shown in the company's printing technology. The technology offered by A.Celli enables multi-color printing using UV-based, water-based and solvent-based techniques to serve the nonwovens market with the highest quality of print on nonwovens, polypropylene/polyethylene film or tissue.
