Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Career Services develops and executes face-to-face interactions on college campuses to present the Nonwovens/Engineered Materials industry as an attractive career choice for students. This effort supports and enhances, rather than replace, existing INDA members’ college recruiting efforts which offer the jobs. Working with members at the colleges/universities where members currently recruit, this position provides a view of the Nonwoven/Engineered Materials environment beyond that of an individual member seeking new employees for a specific job. Working in tandem with our member companies, this role positions the industry, not a specific job; therefore, this person needs to understand and speak to the career and lifestyle interests of today’s college seniors and develop collaterals and messaging to position our industry and our members as meeting those interests.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferable in engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ nonwovens industry experience with a company with name recognition.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven track record.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead teams, make decision, manage multiple projects/people/ tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and oral communication skills. Must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to communicate to audiences at all levels in a clear and effective manner.
- A self-starter with strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to handle and work with a high level of confidential material and information.
- Must be flexible and responsive, must be able to think on your feet.
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks and to work in a fast-paced office environment with changing priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, familiar with databases, etc.
- Must be visible on social and proficient in using social media, i.e. Facebook, Linked In, Snap Chat, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. Must be able to text.
- Must be able to connect with students and engage their imagination, must be able to relate to the students, faculty, Engineering School placement offices, etc.
- Must be able to develop relationships with recruitment teams at member companies.
- Must be able to gain access through difficult doors - Dean’s offices, company, placement offices.
- Must be familiar with INDA and its services as a trade association of member companies.
- Must be comfortable and at ease on a podium and giving presentations.
