At the 2017 Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Annual Conference June 14-16, PDI, a leader in infection prevention products and solutions, will showcase its new Sani-Cloth Prime Germicidal Disposable Wipe and Sani-Prime Germicidal Spray, which are powered by Acceloquat technology, a compatible next-generation formulation featuring a proprietary blend of quaternary ammonium, isopropyl alcohol and ethanol. PDI will also lead an educational symposium at the conference.
The educational symposium is approved for one continuing education credit for nursing from the CA State Board of Registered Nursing. On June 15 from 6:45 to 8:15 a.m., world-renowned infection prevention thought leader Dr. William A. Rutala will present a session entitled "What's New? Strategies for Healthcare Environment Infection Prevention." The session will review the role of the environment in disease transmission, discuss products and practices for surface disinfection and present data surrounding technologies for terminal and continuous room decontamination.
"PDI is committed to providing infection preventionists with the tools and resources they need to keep their staff, patients and visiting families or friends safe," says Elise Tordella, vice president of Marketing, PDI. "I'm excited to showcase our newest product targeting a key need for facilities, along with an educational session and clinical data to help clinicians replicate best practices in the fight against preventable infections."
