As part of P&G’s North American Supply Network Redesign, P&G announced to employees that, over the next few years, the remaining production of Bounce and Swiffer will re-locate from its Brockville, Ontario, site to a new site in West Virginia. These transitions are currently planned to be complete by early 2020 and will result in the P&G Brockville site permanently closing in late 2020 or early 2021.
In making the announcement, P&G said: "Brockville has been a part of the P&G family for almost 40 years and its employees are well known at P&G for their strong performance, culture and contributions to the community. This decision is not a reflection on them, their work or the community. We empathize with our 480 impacted employees and their families. Over the next several years, P&G will work with each employee on a personal transition plan and treat everyone with respect in accordance with our Purpose, Values and Principles. We are committed to working with our employees, individually and collectively, on the way ahead."
