The Allimand Group has acquired Glens Falls Interweb (GFI), an American manufacturer of machinery for nonwovens production lines. This acquisition will allow the Allimand Group, a manufacturer of machinery for paper and nonwovens, to globalize its business while adding know-how and technology knowledge in the science of production of nonwovens made of hundreds types of fibers and raw materials.
The owners of GFI were previsously working at Sandy Hill, an American company created in 1858, that was instrumental in the development of equipment and solutions for the development of the nonwovens sector.
With this acquisition, Allimand Group will bring to GFI its financial support for R&D and for complete line projects. There is no doubt that new ideas and developments will emerge from this new entity, giving new opportunities to customers for diversification and development of new grades/applications.
Since GFI headquarters is located very close to the Allimand Nonwoven Pilot Line, a complete synergy will also be emerging for the development of new nonwovens by Allimand Customers.
