According to a report in The Hendersonville Lightning, German nonwovens producer Norafin is considering opening up its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Henderson County, NC.
Norafin would invest up to $4.5 million in the plant and approximately $13.6 million in equipment. The facility would employ 46 people.
The company would receive up to $434,272 in incentives over seven years, according to the report. Companies must pay wages that are higher than the average factory wage in the county in order to be eliglble for economic development incentives.
The county's Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the incentives on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
Norafin produces specialty and technical nonwovens and composites targeting industrial markets such as filtration, performance apparel and specialty applications.
