PDI, a leader in infection prevention products and solutions, has launched Sani-Cloth Bleach Germicidal Disposable Wipe in Canada. The product is ideal for disinfecting high-risk areas and outbreak situations endemic with Clostridium Difficile (C. diff) spores and Norovirus.
A DIN-registered disinfectant, Sani-Cloth Bleach wipes are a stabilized 1:10 dilution of sodium hypochlorite proven effective against 50 microorganisms, including C. diff, Norovirus and 14 multi-drug resistant organisms. With an overall contact time of four minutes, it is designed to quickly kill the most clinically relevant pathogens in healthcare. Additionally, Sani-Cloth Bleach wipes are compatible with a broad range of surfaces and equipment in the healthcare environment.
"According to the Public Health Agency of Canada, an estimated one in 12 adults and one in 10 children admitted to a Canadian hospital will develop a hospital-acquired infection," says Matt Gattuso, president, PDI Infection Prevention. "Additionally, C. diff affected more than 3000 patients in 2011, resulting in 88 deaths. We're proud to offer Sani-Cloth Bleach wipes as a long-time trusted solution to battle this aggressive organism and address the growing problem in healthcare facilities."
Also available is the convenient and versatile 3-in-1 locking bracket for Sani-Cloth canisters, which promotes usage and compliance to help reduce cross-contamination and infection in any setting.
In addition to Sani-Cloth Bleach, PDI's Sani-Cloth line in Canada includes Sani-Cloth Plus Germicidal Disposable Cloth, a low-alcohol quat-based disinfecting wipe ideal for general, facility-wide disinfection.
