The Charlotte Business Journal has reported that Aichele Inc., a unit of Germany-based Aichele Werkzeuge GmbH, will build a $2 million plant in Gastonia Technology Park near Charlotte, NC that will make cutting equipment for the nonwovens and paper industries. Construction is scheduled to begin next month, with the company planning to start production during the first quarter of 2015. It’s the first U.S. facility for the 70-year-old Germany company.
