Medline continues European expansion

Breaks ground on new warehouse in Germany.

Medline International Germany broke ground for the construction a new warehouse in Kleve, Germany. Medline, a leading provider of surgical and medical products worldwide, is tripling the size of its current European distribution center to 37,000 square maters. This expansion comes as a response to growing demand for its products and services and growth plans for Eastern Europe, including the expansion of the company’s integrated logistics services. Medline employs 140 people in Kleve, of whom 60 are directly involved with the storage and distribution of Medline’s entire European product range.

“Due to its proximity to the port of Rotterdam, the location in Kleve is our gateway to Europe,” says Tripp Amdur, Medline's international group president. “By tripling the size of our warehouse facilities, we will be able to offer our customers not only a greater variety of products, but also unique logistical services.”

Medline has also requested an option for land adjoining the new warehouse for a future expansion project that may include an integrated sterilization facility.
