Fi-Tech names Ian Mills market development director

Ian Mills joined Fi-Tech, Inc. May 1 as market development director with key responsibilities in new business development in North America for Brückner Textile Technologies and other Fi-Tech principals.

Mills brings an extensive background in sales, textile manufacturing, operations, quality assurance and global supply chain management to the Fi-Tech team. His experience includes numerous roles in the UK and U.S. at Courtaulds Textiles, Liberty Fabrics, Hafner and Desseilles USA. Most recently, he served 7 years as senior plant director for PGI Nonwovens.

“Ian brings a wealth of capabilities to our Fi-Tech team which will help us expand our business into new areas as well some of our existing markets in synthetic fibers and nonwovens,” says Jeffrey Bassett, managing director of Fi-Tech. “Ian is a clear communicator and an experienced manager with solid problem solving skills which will greatly benefit our customer base going forward. We are very pleased to have Ian join our team, and confident his skills will help us grow our business.”

Fi-Tech, Inc. has represented European and American manufacturers of equipment, components, and spare parts for the synthetic fiber and nonwovens industries since 1972. Headquartered in Richmond, VA, U.S., the company also has an office in San Luis Potosi, Mexico that serves the synthetic fibers and nonwovens industries of NAFTA countries in Latin America.
