Norafin has invested €12.5 million in a new spunlace line in Mildenau, Germany in an effort to meet increasing demand for specialized nonwovens and to broaden its assortment of high quality technical textiles. The new line officially began production in a special ceremony today before a group of invited guests including representatives from the economic, political and industrial sectors.
The new line can makde multilayered technical nonwovens with widths up to 2.4 meters and grammages between 20-800 gsm. Both chemically produced high performancea ndd natural fibers can be processed on the unit. It will enable Norafin to be even more responsive to market demands, to expand the selection of specialized nonwovens even further and to introduce new products on the market. The second spunlace line will also guarantee a secure supply of goods in the long term.
