Vita Nonwovens discontinues production of EnGuard GlassFree Insulation

March 5, 2013

Vita Nonwovens has made the strategic decision to discontinue the production of its EnGuard GlassFree Insulation as a consumer ready wall and ceiling insulation batt. The company says the decision was reached in an effort to refocus and prioritize opportunities outside of this line that will more efficiently enhance its growth and profitability. The company says it will continue to support the green building and construction markets as an OEM supplier in certain instances. "The continued growth of the green building market may warrant another look at the viability of the product in the future," says Kevin Womble, executive VP of sales and marketing, "but right now the economies of scale are not in our favor."
