DelStar Technologies, Inc. has introduced a new Delnet apertured film product designed to offer improved adhesion characteristics over a variety of substrates. The new Delnet product has a coextruded layer of acrylic acid copolymer that can be incorporated on one or both sides of the netting.
The incorporation of an acrylic acid copolymer into an adhesive layer provides excellent adhesion to polyolefins, aluminum foil, nylon, paper, nonwovens, fabrics, and polar substrates. In comparison to existing coextruded Delnet products with similar configurations, the new skin achieved an average of 40% greater bond strength and can be activated at 10% lower temperatures than the existing skins. The Delnet product utilizes resins that are FDA compliant for food contact.
DelStar Technologies specializes in custom-designed thermoplastic nets and nonwovens for the filtration industry and is willing to stock proprietary configurations for their customers. DelStar can offer this netting in widths up to 65" and roll lengths up to 4,000 linear yards. Delnet products can be extruded in a variety of custom colors.
Headquartered in Middletown, DE, DelStar Technologies has manufacturing operations at that location, as well as in Austin, TX, Richland, PA, El Cajon, CA, and Suzhou, China. The company also has international sales offices in Bristol, England and Shanghai, China. DelStar's portfolio includes diverse nets and nonwoven roll goods, profile extrusions, and custom machine parts.
