Cerex Is Compatible

November 15, 2012

Recently completed a 2,000 hour chemical compatibility test.

Cerex Advanced Fabrics, exhibiting at Booth 232, recently completed a 2,000 hour chemical compatibility test in which nylon 6,6 media consistently out performed polyester spunbond nonwovens in burst strength retention, the company says. Independent lab testing confirmed the impact of chemical exposure and strength retention of Cerex nylon media.

Located in Pensacola, FL, Cerex has provided specialty nonwoven spunbond nylon solutions to media and filter manufacturers for more than 42 years. The chemical resistance of Cerex nylon is preferred in fuel and hydraulic filter applications, even those containing aggressive additive packages.

The company's proprietary technology creates a wide variety of products that offer uniformity, which reduces the possibility of media migration and ensures pleat integrity during manufacturing.
