Czech nonwovens producer Pegas has provided an update on its Egyptian investment. The company announced in mid 2011 it would establish an Egyptian facility near Cairo that would ultimately house two state-of-the-art spunmelt lines.
After meeting all the necessary conditions and administrative requirements, Pegas received a building permit in January and construction on the production and warehouse building started soon after. The installation of the first line is scheduled for the fourth quarter.
"We are pleased with the continuing progress of this investment project," says Frantisek REzack, company CEO. "The project is proceeding according to the planned time schedule and with respect to the budget we have not registered any major deviations from our plans."
