Karl Mayer has announced it will transfer manufacturing of its Malimo stitch-bonded nonwovens technology to Christian Pinkert Textilmaschinen from January 1, 2012 onwards. This deal includes the Malivlies, Maliwatt, Kunit and Multiknit models, including all optimized and customized features.
Established in 1992, Christian Pinkert Textilmaschinen manufactures special machines for niche markets in the textile industry, working with the Malimo machine. The company also cooperates closely with the Chemnitz University of Technology and the Sächsisches Textilforschungsinstitut (Saxon Textile Research Institute) for product development.
In addition to producing the machines, Christian Pinkert will also take on the marketing and distribution, assembly, commissioning, servicing and spare parts provision.
