JNC, a subsidiary of Chisso Corporation and maker of spunbond and thermal bonded nonwovens, is exploring the possibility of commercializing nano-fiber nonwovens. JNC makes the nano-fiber nonwovens, which are marketed under the Elfa brand name, through an electrospinning process. Made from PVDF, PLA and nylon polymers, the nonwovens are one meter wide.
