Green meltblown vacuum bag among new products using PLA.

At INDEX NatureWorks showcased the latest developments in nonwoven applications for Ingeo biopolymer, a low-carbon-footprint polymer made from renewable plant material, not oil. This complete range of Ingeo based fibers and nonwovens was available for viewing as were some of the latest commercial product innovations. These include the s-bag GREEN from Electrolux, which utilizes Ingeo meltblown and spunbond fabrics from Sandler. Another new development is the in-line spunbond meltblown Ingeo fabric produced by CL Textile Technology, which was one of the first Ingeo licensees to provide the market with 100% Ingeo spunbond.
