McAirlaids Announces Timeline for U.S. Investment

Airlaid line should be up and running this fall.

German airlaid nonwovens maker McAirlaid’s has broken ground on its expansion in the Rocky Mount, VA campus and the first U.S. airlaid machine will be operational in the fall of 2011.


McAirlaid’s is a leading supplier of specialty nonwovens as well as finished and semi-finished products. The company now has manufacturing sites in Germany and the U.S. and serves customers in hygiene, food packaging, medical, filtration and table decoration.
