Daio To Make Diapers In Thailand

February 8, 2011

Capacity will target growth in southest Asia

Japan’s Daio Paper Group has established a joint venture with Thailand-based SAHA group in January to produce baby diapers in Thailand. The venture will begin making diapers in Thailand in January 2012. Although Daio has been exporting diapers into Thailand since September 2009, the company has decided that local production would better serve increasing demand from southeast Asia. Key markets will be Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia in addition to Thailand.
