Maxcess International, a global leader in engineered components for the web handling industry, announced the promotion of Darrell Whiteside to sales manager, North America. Mr. Whiteside will manage one of the largest networks of factory-trained salespeople in the industry to drive Maxcess customer value and enhance local sales efforts for Fife, MAGPOWR and Tidland products.
Mr. Whiteside joined MAGPOWR in 1999, assuming responsibilities for international sales. In 2001 he was promoted to the position of product manager for tension control. In 2007, he became sales and channel manager for MAGPOWR products. Prior to joining MAGPOWR, Mr. Whiteside worked for Watlow Process Systems as a design engineer and Magnetek in international sales. He has a B.S. degree in industrial science with an emphasis on electronics and robotics from NE Missouri State University.
"Darrell’s technical experience and understanding of our customers’ unique needs have made him an invaluable member of the Maxcess team," said Tom Herold, vice president of sales for North America. "I’m confident he will hit the ground running as we work to further develop a customer-focused sales program that adds value while making it even easier to improve efficiency with Fife, MAGPOWR and Tidland equipment."
