Recycling Technology, a division of Starlinger & Co GmbH, Vienna, will present a general view of its product portfolio at the K 2010 trade fair from Oct. 27-Nov. 3 in Düsseldorf.
Founded in 2000, Starlingers recoSTAR product line has quickly become a reference in the recycling sector at a time when issues such as required collection rates and reuse are gaining significance in many countries and vivid discussions on carbon footprint and responsible use of resources generally create more awareness among people.
The product range of recycling technology comprises innovative machine solutions for efficient recycling of plastic materials such as PE, PP, PA, PS, PET and many others. At this years K trade fair, three Starlinger recycling lines will be on display.
A recoSTAR universal 65 VAC with an output of up to 200 kg/h will be in operation two times a day at booth D21, hall 9, processing PP sack fabric. This machine is equipped with a heavy-duty single-shaft cutter arranged parallel to the extruder, making it possible to easily process also films and hard-to-grind materials such as tapes, fibers and start-up lumps. Thanks to the new feeding system of the line, both ground material and granulate can now be processed without requiring an additional dosing unit. Furthermore, this new feature increases operational reliability, simplifies operation and ensures lower energy consumption and higher output at the same time. Large-scale trials have proven that the line concept is ideal for processing films, fibers, fabrics and nonwovens. Compared to other processes, the PA- und Folien recoSTAR universal produces regranulate that is less discolored and less degraded and thus has a higher value. In addition, materials with a moisture content of up to 3% can be processed using special devices.
