French spunmelt manufacturer Dounor Nonwovens has announced plans for a sixth line at its site near Lille.
The new spunbond line will serve the hygiene market with lower weight fabrics. Hygiene has remained the core business of Dounor since its founding 25 years ago.
Dounor already operates five Reicofil lines and the new line is expected to start operation in summer 2011.
The line configuration has been defined with Reicofil support to go further on weight reduction with improved consistency.
The global investment plan includes a pilot line to explore innovative products to serve existing and new markets.
A new building will house the two new lines.
