SCA's North American Personal Care unit is investing $50 million in its Bowling Green, KY facility. The move will add 90,000 square feet and 65 jobs to the operation.
The plant manufactures a line of adult incontinence care products for retail and health care markets and has 180 employees.
Sune Lundin, president of SCA Americas, says the expansion will allow the company to make products in Bowling Green that had been previously imported from Europe.
According to reports, SCA is partnering with Japan's UniCharm to go up against Kimberly-Clark and other major players in the North American incontinence market, where growth is being driven by the aging population.
