J.H. Ziegler GmbH has acquired Quadrant Natural Fiber Composites GmbH, a manufacturer of natural fiber nonwovens based in Lambrecht, Germany. With this acquisition, the manufacturer of synthetic fiber nonwovens has expanded its product portfolio to include nonwovens made of renewable raw materials.
Corporate activities will be integrated into the Ziegler group under the new name of J.H. Ziegler Natural Nonwovens GmbH while production and development of the products will continue at the Lambrecht factory. These products will be marketed by J.H. Ziegler in Achern, Germany.
"With this expanded portfolio, we aim to strengthen our position in the automotive sector as a supplier of innovative nonwoven solutions,"said Peter Hartwig, managing director of J.H. Ziegler. "Natural fiber nonwovens are frequently used by customers who are already using our microfiber nonwovens as acoustic insulating materials. In future, renewable resources will become more important in all industrial sectors. We will utilize our marketing resources outside the automotive industry to develop applications for renewable raw materials in the plastics and construction industries."
