Syl-Off Release Coatings

September 1, 2009

Dow Corning Corp. is launching Syl-Off, a solvent–free silicone release coating system for polyester substrates. The system provides long-term anchorage to unprimed and primed polyester films. It is specially designed for filmic pressure sensitive laminate/labelstock, single-and double-sided industrial polyester release films and for liners of polyester technical adhesive tapes.

Dow Corning has also made recent additions to its Advantage Series, an extensive line of ultralow-platinum, solventless release coating products. According to the company, the recent additions to the line-up require even lower platinum levels and offer the ability to use a wider range of substrates. Dow Corning also claims the product line offers high line speeds, anti-misting, excellent anchorage, outstanding converting properties and better coverage, bath life and release stability.
