Austrian testing equipment specialist Lenzing Instruments and Fibre, a German fiber organization, have entered into an agreement, in which Lenzing Instruments has taken over the rights for production and sales of a system for analysis of the fiber orientation of nonwoven webs, NOS 200.
The objective of the technology transfer is to make the new fiber analysis system accessible to nonwoven producers worldwide and derive advantages from Lenzing Instruments’ know-how in the field of image processing as well as its existing network of contacts within the nonwovens industry and its
distribution network.
NOS 200 is used for the inspection of nonwoven webs as well as for the process control of nonwoven production lines by means of fast CCD-cameras and image evaluation. The system gives real-time feedback on the fiber orientation of the nonwoven web, offering valuable information about the strength of the nonwoven material along and across the web.
