EDANA has named Abby Bailey its new marketing and communications director

EDANA has named Abby Bailey its new marketing and communications director, effective November 2008. In this newly expanded role combining both the marketing and communications needs of the association and its member companies, Ms. Bailey is responsible for setting the internal and external communications strategy and coordinating the marketing of EDANA service and membership benefits.

She will also organize marketing and communications activities that raise awareness and understanding of the nonwovens and related industries, bringing her knowledge and expertise to EDANA, reinforcing its aim to provide excellence in its services to members.

An Australian citizen with more than 10 years experience in communications and marketing, she has worked with corporate marketing and communications strategies, issues management and media engagement programs for a number of large companies across a diverse rage of areas, from transport and logistics to telecommunications and public services.

"I am delighted to see how well Ms. Bailey complements our Brussels team, using her experience and skills within the newly restructured and clarified department organization to serve our member companies," said Pierre Wiertz, general manager of EDANA.  "Her experience provides an excellent background to support the nonwovens industry, and we look forward to her role in furthering awareness and understanding of nonwoven products and of the association’s activities." v
