Whitestone acquisition broadens North American scope

Germany’s The Hartmann Group has acquired Whitestone Acquisition Corp., Bloomington, IN, a manufacturer of absorbent incontinence products. The purchase strengthens its position in the nursing home and home care sector in the most important market for incontinence products.

The acquisition of Whitestone, a manufacturing company with approximately 120 employees and sales in excess of $40 million, completes Hartmann’s range of incontinences products. A leader in the German and French markets, Hartmann already operated a U.S. subsidiary in Rock Hill, SC.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
