South Korea NTpia, a manufacturer of products combining nanoweb with spunbond and trico-knit substrates, has unveiled a new range of hybrid hydroentanglement fabrics, using the latest nanotechnology. The latest innovation follows two years of work with Fleissner including the recent installation of a Fleissner AquaJet spunlace line.
NTpia’s main line, Advanced Nano textile, is a nonwoven, designed to absorb sweat very quickly from the body, while aramid-fiber products are used for industrial high-temperature filtration.
The Fleissner AquaJet offers a 3.6m working width for a two-layer product of medium weight, consisting of an electrospun nanoweb and a splittable polyester web. The bonding process is said to be environmentally friendly, as it only uses water, which is then recycled.
