Pegas Nonwovens, Prague, Czech Republic, has won a state grant worth up to 25 million Czech crowns for a research project on a new generation treatment of nonwoven textiles. The project, in partnership with a Czech university and a private Czech company, will have a total budget of up to 70 million crowns between 2008-2011. The project is expected to enable commercialization of new products with unique parameters and higher added value, which is a key focus for the company.
