Fleissner's Watzl Retires

Rudiger Weinhardt named director of sales.

Alfred Watzl has retired from machinery and equipment supplier Fleissner where he was responsible for marketing and sales activities for the Egelbach, Germany-based company. During his nearly four decades with Fleissner, Mr. Watzl exerted a decisive influence on the development of nonwovens installations. Under his responsibility as a sales and marketing expert, a variety of machines including Fleissner AquaJet, components for airlaid web lines and heavy duty production lines for man-made fibers were developed, built and sold worldwide. He contributed to the continuous improvement of equipment in constant response to the demands of the market.

Rüdiger Weinhardt has taken over responsibility for all marketing and sales activities as director of sales effective January 1, 2008.
