Osprey To Launch Product Development Center

July 16, 2007

Osprey Corporation, Atlanta, GA, is in the final stages of completing its new Product Development Center. The project has been underway since the beginning of the year and is set for completion by October. The new 7700 square foot department will be anchored by Osprey’s latest in air filtration technology. The new HV series filter will include many features yet to be released by Osprey. The new center is expected to keep Osprey in the forefront of the industries it serves. “We have always been an innovator in process filtration and waste reclaim systems,” commented Marty Price, head of product development. “This new center will develop the standard by which others are measured. We are seeing resurgence in interest regarding new products, which is always exciting for us. Frankly, the last few years have been slow regarding new product developments. Osprey is a customer-driven company and this new department could not come at a better time. Customers are asking for less maintenance costs and higher running efficiencies along with the underlined value of working with Osprey,” he said.

In addition to the new air filtration system being demonstrated, the new Product Development Center will feature a Fiber/SAP separation system, the latest in material conveying and metering, bale opening and size reduction systems. “Since we consolidated all our operations in our Atlanta location, we were forced to sell most of the older generation R&D equipment rather than move it to Atlanta,” explained Mr. Price. “Now we have a new department that incorporates the latest in some of our most popular systems. We are already seeing the benefits of the financial commitment to product development. The area is currently booked most of the summer for customer trials, which is what it is all about.”
