Engineered Fibers Technology has introduced a new line of nanofiber products. EFTec™ nanofibrillated fibers are commercially produced by a proprietary process that generates short cut fibers with fibril diameters well into the nanometer range. Typical fibril diameters range from 50 to 500 nanometers and are suitable for use in both wet and dry process applications. These high surface area products provide fibril diameters in the same range as electrospun fibers.
Cellulose-based products are created using Tencel fiber as a precursor and offered as 100% Lyocell or blended with other cellulosic nanofibrillated fibers. Acrylic nanofibrillated fiber is also available for applications requiring different chemical or environmental /moisture resistance.
