Crosslappers

February 14, 2007

Habasit has introduced two new products representing a new generation of crosslappers. The ENB-6EE is matte while the ENT-6EE  features a structured surface. Both are light but offer a high level of ridigity. The smooth surface of the ENT-6EE prevents fiber adhesion while the ENT-6EE is designed for products that need a structural surface..

Older products from Habasit include the ENA-4EE for lightweight fabrics and the ENA-8EE for medium weight products. The ENA-4EE does not cause lighter weight fabrics to deform the way thicker belts can; the ENA-8AA is better for lower speed operations where it offers rigidity.

Unlike some crosslappers which require the operator to dismantle the entire machine to replace them, Habasit belts can be replaced within five to six hours, significantly reducing machine stoppage times.
