Ahlstrom's Green Bay Line Is Up

December 22, 2006

Ahlstrom has brought its new spunlace line, located in Green Bay, WI, online two weeks ahead of schedule. This additional capacity primarily serves the North American wipes market but  will also have the technological flexibility to meet the demands of other nonwovens markets.

Ahlstrom acquired the facility from Green Bay Nonwovens in 2004 and soon after announced plans to add a second line there. This  start-up follows the previous on time start-up of a spunlace composites line at Ahlstrom's  Windsor Locks, CT,  facility. Ahlstrom is also adding a wipes production line in Louveira, Brazil.
