IIT Delhi Attracts Crowd

The International Conference on Technical Textiles (IIT Delhi), organized by the Department of Textile Technology, gathered participants from the technical textiles industry worldwide. Held on November 11-12, the conference brought together businesses, research organizations and academia involved in the field of technical textiles and offered a forum to carry out discussions, focusing on existing technical textile products, new product development possibilities, domestic and global market potential and strategies for the development of the technical textiles industry in India.

Paper and poster presentations were made on the design aspects and manufacturing technologies for various functional and technical textiles products including technical yarns, woven, knitted, braided and nonwoven products. A variety of application areas were discussed, such as agro textiles, medical textiles, geotextiles, cloth textiles, construction textiles and others.

The event was co-sponsored by Business Co-ordination House (BCH), which offered visitors an interactive booth.
