INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, is expanding its reach into India, with two major events in India in 2007. INDA will sponsora Nonwovens Training Course in Mumbai, India on January 4-5, 2007 and is working on developing a major conference and tabletop exhibition in Mumbai for October.
India is emerging as a textile powerhouse with enormous growth opportunities. With the burgeoning middle class population more 300 million, experts predict an explosion of nonwoven material usage in a myriad of applications such as automotive, construction, roads, wipes, feminine hygiene products and diapers providing a huge market for textile players in India and abroad.
“The professional events are consistent with our mission to promote the value and profitability of the nonwovens/engineered fabrics industry worldwide,” said Rory Holmes, INDA’s President. “This is a significant step forward for INDA.”
