Nonwovens-related companies have continued the trend of responding to raw material and energy price increases with price hikes. Nonwovens and filtration media maker Hollingsworth & Vose has announced it will raise general prices throughout its business after July 14. These increases will vary depending on the impact of energy and raw material costs in each particular business segment. Meanwhile, polyester fiber manufacturer DAK Americas will levy its second price increase in as many months. In addition to the three cent per pound increase that went into effect June 1, DAK will increase polyester staple fiber prices four cents per pound July 1.
