A.S. Nonwovens To Ad Rieter Perfojet Line

November 3, 2005

A.S. Nonwovens will install a second spunlace line, supplied by Rieter Perfojet, in its Gaziantep, Turkey facility. The company’s first Rieter line began operating in March 2002 and has mainly served the disposable wipes and artificial leather substrates markets. “We were very happy with Rieter as an organization and as a machine supplier during our first spunlace investment, said Bahir Ayata, plant manager of AS Nonwovens. “Our confidence in Rieter would be with us during every step of this project and would be therefore our future as well.”

The new line, a Jetlace 3000, will mainly produce lightweight spunlace materials for the wipes market. It will also have the ability to produce many alternative types of embossed, patterned and perforated fabrics.
